Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child in Kosciuszko Street Primary School. We understand that transferring and beginning at a new school can be a little scary however, we hope that we can make the process as easy as possible for you and your child. School Zone Information
Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.
Students moving into our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined based on your permanent residential address.
Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.
Enrolment Information
Our school has an enrolment restriction under section 2.2.16 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic). The restriction limits enrolments for the 2025 school year.
Our school will accept enrolments from:
- students who live within the school zone
- students with a sibling attending the school at the same time
- students enrolling on compassionate grounds, in exceptional circumstances.
Depending on available places, our school may be able to accept a limited number of out-of-zone enrolments according to next closest to the school.
The department will review this enrolment restriction yearly and provide updated advice as necessary for the subsequent school year.
When enrolling your child at Kosciuszko Street Primary School from another Victorian Government School please follow the steps below:
- Complete an Application to Enrol form and return to the general office (form can be downloaded from the website or collected from the office).
- You will be notified of the outcome of your Application to Enrol
- We will request a transfer of your child’s student information from their previous school.
- Before you child begins, a Student Enrolment Information Form with your child’s details will be provided for families to check and update to ensure all of our information is correct.
When enrolling your child at Kosciuszko Street Primary School from a non-Victorian Government School please follow the steps below:
- Complete an Application to Enrol form and return to the general office (form can be downloaded from the website or collected from the office).
- You will be notified of the outcome of your Application to Enrol
- If your child’s enrolment has been accepted, please complete the enrolment form (available from the office).
